- Of course you can go in a 5 stars hotel in Costa Brava, rest at the beach all day long, and do some shopping

But if you are looking to make it more adventurous, as per a backpack, lastminutes trip, here are some tips for you. You can either
- Crash in a camping even at 11pm it might still be open
- Wild camping should also be an option for the more adventurous ones, but you won’t get access to bathrooms, showers (unless there is one open next to a beach spot – it sounds familiar to me)
- You can stop and find a Bed & Breakfast on the road. Don’t worry if it’s not booked, and you arrive late, the owner might know his neighbour that still have available room in your budget. People in Spain are welcoming

San Sebastien
City next the French border and the Pyrénées. A main stop point for the Saint Jacques de Compestel’s hikers.
The city built along the sea with a long sandy beach, and a little hill to climb in 30min to 1h. Beautiful view of the sea and the city. You will have the chance to visit some military installation and “Fortification?” in the forest.
A lot of restaurants with Tapas (arrange on the counter), local sangria and beers.

Ruta del Cares (the Cares trail)
The Senda en la Ruta del Cares is a wonderful trail in the North West of Spain, in Asturias. It takes few hours en brings you higher in the mountains. The paths are sometimes narrow with a cliff on your side, holes in the rock, goats walking around, and an amazing view. There is bus that takes you from the main village if you don’t want to take your car over there. Caution some rocks can fall from above you, or on the street where your car is parked. There are various types of accommodation to rent with different budget.
