The Northern Territory: Australia’s Wonderland

Darwin and his National parks

Darwin is a small city that doesn’t worth to spend a lot of time. A lot of drunken aboriginal people are everywhere, crossing the road like a zombie without looking for the cars. If you are there over a night, go to the night market, located north close of the Casino. You can also enjoy a walk along the coast.

Darwin is, however, the starting point for various adventurous days trips to visit the National Parks around

  • Kakadu
  • Nomans land
  • Litchfield
  • Tiwi Islands (by boat)

You can also reach Broome, Alice Springs or even the Queensland if you are making a trip around Australia.

Kakadu or Litchfield?

I would definitely say Kakadu! It’s more natural, way bigger, and less touristic but a little further. If you have time, go to Nomans land, further East North from Kakadu. Enjoy birds watch, and swimming in the lake and waterfall, but watch out at the sign and if the crocodiles are around. Hopefully, a guide will explain to you the difference between saltwater and freshwater crocodile…
